Itinerary
DAY 1 : ( KUALA NAMU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT – BUKIT
LAWANG ).
Arrive at Kuala Namu International Airport or Medan hotel.
Welcomed by our representative driver/guide. Hereafter drive
to Bukit Lawang passing by landscape with vast view of oil palm and rubber
plantation to Bukit Lawang, the Orang Utan centre located in GunungLeuser Park.
This is one of the largest national parks in the world containing over 800,000
ha of virgin rainforest. Arrive in Bukit Lawang, check in hotel.
DAY 2 : ( ONE DAY TREKKING ADVENTURE )
After breakfast around 7-8 am and get ready for a one
day trek in Bukit Kencur (for the itinerary see jungle trek column). Journey
takes about 1 hour drive by motorbike.Walking around 5-6 hours into the jungle
and back to Bukit Lawang in the afternoon and stay overnight there.
DAY 3 : ( WHITE WATER RAFTING ADVENTURE )
After breakfast, drive by local mini bus to Marike as
starting point where your white water rafting adventure starts for 6 hours. On
the way you’ll experience the wonderful countryside, farmers with their various
plants and commodity they grow for their income. You stop at a point to pump up
our boats as instructors explain how to raft well with maximum good fun. Minimum
age is ca. 10 years. While rafting then you will stop at hot springs along the
way for swimming and relaxing. After a local lunch picnic at a waterfall you
continue rafting down the Wampu River until the bridge of the Bohorok river.
Your journey ends in Bohorok from where you will be picked up and taken back to
your accommodation in Bukit Lawang.
DAY 4 : ( BUKIT LAWANG – MEDAN AIRPORT )
In morning after breakfast, start your journey back to
Medan. Time permitting, you will have the opportunity to visit one of Medan’s
cultural highlights, before being dropped to the airport/hotel. End of our
