Exclusive Bukit Lawang tour, 5 Day 4 night where you can see
Orangutan in their habitats and stay two night in jungle to feel the atmosfire
of the jungle and learn more about flora and fauna of Leuser National Park.
Itinerary
Day One
Welcomed by our representative driver/guide or pick up at
Medan hotel. After that travel to Bukit Lawang, to the Orangutans located in
Gunung Leuser National Park through by landscape with vast view of palm oil and
rubber plantation. En-route it’s possible to stop at rubber, oil palm and cacao
plantations with some countryside landscape (optional). Arrive in Bukit Lawang,
check in hotel. overnight stay in Bukit Lawang.
Day Two
After breakfast, start for three day trek to Leuser National
Park to see Orangutan in their habitats and learn more about their life. On the
firsth day of the trek is big possibility to see semi wild and wild
Orangutan also others animal, such as: White handed Gibbon, Black Siamang,
Thomas Leaf monkey,Hornbill, and others wild animal.you can learn also about
flora and fauna and learn about medical plants and their uses from your guide.
At midday take rest and lunch.
Late afternoon-your guide will select a suitable spot next
to the river to set-up camp. You are then free to enjoy the fresh water of the
Bohorok river, swim, help prepare dinner, or even go fishing. After dinner,
weather permitting, our team will prepare a bonfire and the guides will
entertain you with their jungle skills, games and songs before you settle down
to sleep surrounded by the sounds of the jungle and river. You will stay over
night in jungle.
Day three
After breakfast continue your adventure into the depths of
the jungle, spotting wildlife throughout the day and learning more about
orangutans (their behaviour, lifestyle and social skills). After lunch,
continue your trek to camp at the edge of Bohorok River (Batu Lintang or Ekor).
You are then free to swim, help prepare dinner, or even go fishing. After
dinner, weather permitting, our team will prepare a bonfire and the guides will
entertain you with their jungle skills, games and songs before you settle down
to sleep.
Day Four
After breakfast either i) continue your trek with a 3 hour
walk in the jungle, then back to the camp, or ii) relax at camp, enjoying the
beauty of the jungle around you and swim in the cool and refreshing Bohorok
river. After lunch, you will leave the campsite by traditional rafting boat
(‘jungle style’) following the river downstream to the village and directly to
Bukit Lawang accommodation/hotel.
Day Five
In morning after breakfast, start your journey back to
Medan.( Time permitting ) you will have the opportunity to visit one of Medan’s
cultural highlights e.g. Maimun Palace, Great Mosque of Medan, Tjong A Fie’s
mansion, Marian Shrine of Annai Velangkanni or Maha Vihara Maitreya Cemara
Asri, before being dropped to the airport/hotel. End of tour.
