Itinerary
9 Days Tour Bukit Lawang, Berastagi and Lake Toba
Day One
Arrive at Kuala Namu International Airport or Medan hotel.
Welcomed by our representative / driver guide. Drive to Bukit Lawang the Orangutans located in Gunung Leuser National Park through by landscape with vast view of palm oil and rubber plantation. En-route it’s possible to stop at rubber, oil palm and cacao plantations with some countryside landscape (optional). Arrive in Bukit Lawang, check in hotel.
Days Two
After breakfast around 8am set up for a three day trek and then walk to the jungle. ( for the itinerary see trek colum) and stay overnight in the jungle.
Days Three
Stay one more night in the jungle.
Days Four
This day back from a three-day trek, around noon you can go to the bat cave after tour to the village. Stay one more night in Bukit Lawang.
Days Five
After breakfast at 9 am or 10 am leave to Berastagi, the drive is will be 5 hours travel. On the journey we will stop for visit the Dokan village ( a traditional Karo Bataks village) also traditonal market, have lunch in a hill resto where you will have time to relax and drink fresh coconut juice or other juices. At day to late noon arrive in Berastagi, Check in at the hotel and take rest for the volcano tour in next day.
Days Six
Early morning at 4am our guide will pick you up at the hotel and start the tour to the Sibayak volcano for see the beautiful of sunrise from the top of mountain. This time the breakfast is will be here on volcano . After a couple of hours stay to enjoy the view, and continue the tour trought to the numerous natural hot springs. At midday back to the Hotel and in the afternoon, we will pick you up again for have dinner in Local Restaurant to know how is it the Local culture of Karo Bataks Village.
Days Seven
In the morning after breakfast get ready for travel to Lake Toba ( 4 hours ). During the journey you will stop at the waterfall Sipiso-piso, where you can enjoy a spectacular view from the top of the hill. And then continue to Parapat, the place where we will take ferry for cross to Samosir Island. Arrive, check in and relax to enjoy the place/accommodation (Tuk Tuk Island).
Days Eight
In the morning after breakfast at 9:00 am start tour around Samosir Island. Visit the Ambarita village, then Simanindo to see Batak museum and Batak traditional dance performance at 10:30 am. After the performance visit another village to see sarong/ulos or Batak blanket maker. You can stop for lunch before back to the accommodation in the afternoon. After the tour take a rest or swim in the lake on your last day in Lake Toba.
Days Nine
In morning after breakfast, start your journey back to Medan (4 to 5 hours). Time permitting, you will have the opportunity to visit one of Medan’s cultural highlights e.g. Maimun Palace, Great Mosque of Medan, Tjong A Fie’s mansion, Marian Shrine of Annai Velangkanni or Maha Vihara Maitreya Cemara Asri, before being dropped to the airport/hotel.
