Itinerary

 

 

Day One

 

Arrive at Kuala Namu International Airport or Medan hotel.

 

Welcomed by our representative driver/guide. Drive to Bukit Lawang, the place Orangutans located in Gunung Leuser National Park through by landscape with vast view of palm oil and rubber plantation. En-route it’s possible to stop at rubber, oil palm and cacao plantations with some countryside landscape (optional). Arrive in Bukit Lawang, check in hotel.

 

 

 

Days Two

 

Early morning around 6:30am leave to Tangkahan (two-hour drive by car). And at 9am start for help elephant washing and then do elephant trekking for one hour. After the tour relaxing at the river and take a swim in the river, then to the hot spring. And back to Bukit Lawang in the afternoon.

 

 

 

Days Three

 

After breakfast at 8 am set up for a one day trek, walking around 6-7 hours in the jungle. For details trekking itinerary check in colump.

 

 

Days Four

 

After breakfast  at 9 am or 10 am leave to Berastagi, the drive is will be 5 hours travel. On the journey  we will stop for visit the Dokan village ( a traditional Karo Bataks village) also  traditonal market, have lunch in a hill resto where you will have time to relax and drink fresh coconut juice or other juices. At day to late noon arrive in Berastagi, Check in at the hotel and take rest for the volcano tour in next day.

 

 

 

Days Four

 

In the morning after breakfast set up for climbing the sibayak volcano, (around 3 hours) after the climb you can also visit the hot springs if you like. After visit the waterfall Sipiso-Piso, on the way back to the accommodation make a stop at the famous fruit market. Stay one more night in Berastagi.

 

 

 

Days Five

 

After breakfast, start your journey back to Medan ( 3 hours). Time permitting, you will have the opportunity to visit one of Medan’s cultural highlights e.g. Maimun Palace, Great Mosque of Medan, Tjong A Fie’s mansion, Marian Shrine of Annai Velangkanni or Maha Vihara Maitreya Cemara Asri, before being dropped at the airport/ accommodation.
